Getting Started

Times have drastically changed from the days of 45 RPM records being mailed out to radio stations, and with new media available, it not only makes it simple for the DJ’s but for the artist/labels as well. You must have three important things that are necessary for promoting your music to the radio.

  • The money to fund the campaign (With us, it will be in your budget!)
  • The time to spend working the stations you submit your music to. (We have it.)
  • A recording that meets the standards of radio broadcast/streaming quality.

The Bottom Line

Unless you are connected to a major label or independently wealthy (If the latter, please call us and let’s be friends), the costs of promoting your songs nationally to the radio can be out of reach for most artist.

As an independent artist, it’s best to start locally. The radius of your travel area is the best to start with. For example, you or your group travel only distances of 200 miles away from home. Then a distance of promoting your music should be 300 miles in either direction. Avid fans will travel up to 100 miles to hear a favorite group or soloist. And you can’t really create fans without promotion in those areas outside your travel radius.

Local radio is the best place to start.

Even if you are not one of the lucky few that has money to invest in major radio promotion, it’s affordable and possible to hire promoters such as us to serve you in your promotion needs. We offer two levels of promotion and may be able to open doors to radio play for you. If you decide to use us you will not need to spend several hundred dollars a week for services. Also, we will be able to quickly target your radio marketing to your specific area which could take you several weeks doing so independently as we can do it in a matter of minutes.

What good is radio play without selling product?

Honestly, you need to utilize EVERY available aspect of the promotion campaign. You make recordings to sell, not just to decorate a table! And when a person hears your music, they will hopefully like it and want to purchase a copy of not just that song, but entire CD’s! So, place your product on your web site for sale. But use caution, a lot of software today allows folks to download your music for free. So, if you are going to place your music on your web site, only place maybe 30 seconds of the song.

Not only do we promote to radio stations that have the big rising towers, but we promote to online radio stations as well, as there are hundreds out there, making your music available worldwide.

What makes us so good?

An extensive database of commercial, non-commercial, and Internet stations that realistically may play your music. A vast majority of these stations in our database are charting stations for major publications. Online tracking of your music from our digital downloads. When a song is downloaded by one of the stations in our database, we know when it was done and who did it. Electronic reporting is made available to all DJ’s to report to us the following:

  • No Play
  • In Review
  • Light
  • Medium
  • Heavy
  • Charting Info
